Substitutions on Orders

If you do not have the exact product for an order, you can make some substitutions while still creating a similar arrangement.

If you do not have the exact flowers or plant needed to fill an order, you can substitute certain products to fill the order. Customers are presented with the following disclaimer when placing an order:

“Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary due to flower availability. Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value.”

It is better to fill the order to value with the same style and colors than rejecting or cancelling an order. When substituting plants, try to substitute flowering plants when one was ordered, and green plants for other non-flowering products. For example, do not substitute a green plant when a flowering one was ordered, but substitute with another flowering product instead. Substituting different products, such as a plant for a vase arrangement, could lead to an issue.

If you are unsure whether or not a substitution is acceptable, either contact the customer (via their telephone number provided on the order slip) or CFS.
