If a photo has the wrong orientation when uploaded, try rotating the original file.
Even if a photo appears correctly on your computer, it may appear sideways on your website. This is most commonly happens when a cell phone was used to take the picture, especially Android phones. The device does not always use the same attribute for orientation as the browser uses, causing it to incorrectly orient the photo.
To fix this, you must reset the orientation. Open the photo on your computer and rotate it 360° back to the correct view. Be sure to save the file before uploading it again. The photo should now upload and display on your website correctly.
